Description

This mini course is the foundational introduction to our Proximity Series, designed to help you recognize when “inclusion” has become placement without participation. You’ll learn what proximity without purpose looks like in real school settings, why it impacts belonging, confidence, and progress, and how to shift the conversation toward purposeful engagement using calm, collaborative language.

Each lesson uses slide-based teaching, expanded readings, practical reflection prompts, and scenario-style quizzes to strengthen understanding. You’ll walk away with a simple framework to evaluate inclusion (access, participation, belonging, progress) and a transition-minded lens that keeps the focus on skills that matter beyond school.

When you finish this mini course, you’ll be ready to choose your next step:

  • Educators: continue into Proximity With Purpose (systems, instruction, implementation, and accountability) LIVE JAN 17th, 2025

  • Parents & Advocates: continue into Proximity With Purpose (meeting scripts, data requests, IEP alignment, and next-step advocacy) LIVE JAN 17th, 2025
